What Seeds Are You Sowing?

What Seeds Are You Sowing?

What Seeds are you sowing? (2025)

Matt 13:24 Here is the first part of the basic of the principle I want to show you.

  • You get what you plant. This applies to all area of life.
  • Proverbs 18:21 The tongue, what we say, has the power of life and death.
  • What we say can be one way we plant seeds.
    • There are many ways to plant seeds, what we speak is just one way.

Psalm 109:17-18.  This is a Psalm of David.

  • David is speaking of his enemy.
    • This enemy of David loved to pronounce and speak curses.
      • But then David says, may the curses come back onto him.
    • Then David says, “he found no pleasure in blessing.
    • So may blessings be far from Him.
  • The cursing affected him more than it did the people he was trying to curse.
  • You get, based on the seeds that you sow. Do you see that?

Getting practical:

Proverbs 11:24 You can give freely and yet gain even more.

When you plant the seeds of generosity you will bear the fruit of abundance. Counterintuitive.

  • If your finances are not in a good place.
    • Have you missed opportunities to be generous?
  • Proverbs 11:25If you plant seeds of generosity, you will prosper.
  • The problem is, this seems counter-intuitive.
  • Psalm 41:1-3 The word “weak” at the end of verse 1 is the Hebrew word for “poor.”
  • The Hebrew word translate here as Blessed means happiness or blessed.
  • The NLT translation translate verse 1 this way. “Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor!”
  • This is how you plant seeds of Joy!

Proverbs 19:17 The same basic principle here. And again, one that runs counter to the culture of the day.

Now let’s look at the issue of health.

Psalm 41:3 If you are sick in any way, do you wan to be restored?

Proverbs 14:30 Certainly, we don’t want to plant seeds of rot, so check your heart for envy.

  • Peace seems to be the key to good life in our body.

Psalm 85:8 A promise from the Lord is peace for His people. lay hold of this peace.

Proverbs 17:22 Having and cheerful heart is medicine.

Psalm 16:11 Joy is found in the Presence of God.

Psalm 18:30 When we disagree with something, we run the risk of calling God a liar.
