Church Soup

Our church aims to be a diversified group,

And were inviting you to join us in the making of our soup.

Just as a soup is a blended whole,

Each person in God's church is an individual soul.

Whatever your background, whatever your lineage,

God made you in his own spectacular image.

While an onion will give soup a pungent flavor,

It also needs a potato to tone down its savor.

With only an onion, how would a soup taste?

It needs other ingredients to lend it some grace.

With only a potato, the soup would be bland.

But a variety of ingredients makes a soup take a stand.

So while all of the additives blend well in the pot,

Each has a part, in a particular spot.

Let us all get together - join our hearts and minds,

And share what God has made of us, in his wonderful designs.

Come and taste our soup,

Then jump in the pot.

Your presence will enhance it,

We'll be a God-meant diversified lot.
